CIFAL Newcastle will be hosting a 3-day workshop on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) to empower students and young professionals to be active agents for SDGs achievement by 2030.
This workshop focusses on Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), which is being emphasised in response to the on-going global resource and environmental crisis.
SCP is closely linked to our daily lives in the way that it includes efficient use of natural resources through recycling and reuse, reduction of food waste and eco-friendly lifestyles.
Through this workshop, participants will enhance their understanding of SCP in the context of SDGs and will develop the necessary skills in promoting SCP to achieve the 2030 Development Goals.
The group work during the workshop will create an advocacy action plan to give participants the tools to take immediate action on SCP.
The workshop provides a unique learning opportunity for students and young professionals to understand the concept of SDGs and strengthen their capacities to be a global leader through lecture, field trip, hands-on experience, group work, action planning, discussion and presentation.
This work is limited to a maximum of 50 participants’ selected based on academic or professional merit in their field.
A UNITAR certificate of completion will be issued to students who successfully complete the course.
