Strategic planning for post-disaster activities in the recovery phase involves the deployment of knowledge and the required capacity of personnel for training, education, capacity development programmes. Other areas involve coordination for enhanced engagement and response to the needs of stakeholders to enable effective operational decision-making in coordinating recovery activities.

With varying stakeholder participation and governance that helps to resolve resource management challenges and enables efficiency, accountability, and transparency.

This course will examine approaches for effective stakeholder engagement, identification, analysis and categorisation of stakeholder interests and interconnections with other stakeholder groups which have the propensity to facilitate collaboration and consensus-building regarding structure and implementation strategies.
