A Global Survey to Explore SDG Prioritisation among Young People

University students play an important role as future leaders and professionals across varying sectors of industry, research, and innovation. Effective ways to educate university students on the SDGs are required if we are to create change and attain the 2030 Agenda. CIFAL Newcastle is developing a survey to explore university students’ prioritisation and perceptions of the SDGs. It will also explore students characteristics to determine how these may impact prioritisation of SDGs, including gender, discipline of study or location.

This project aims to provide international data, to understand what SDGs are most important to university students, enabling targeted efforts towards SDG education and attainment. The findings from this study will guide future research projects aiming to increase the feasibility and acceptability of interventions to promote SDG action among young people.
